Client Support Services

Message from the Director

Jeanette Shanley

Before becoming Director of Support Services for ACR Health, I had the opportunity to provide training and technical assistance to many ACR staff over the years. I continued to see the same staff year after year which spoke volumes about their satisfaction and commitment to their work and the agency. As the years passed, the messages around HIV/AIDS changed. It wasn’t about assisting with dying wishes, but about providing comprehensive services that would get individuals living with HIV/AIDS back on their feet. AIDS Community Resources has always been at the frontlines against bias and discrimination towards those living with HIV/AIDS. The Support Services Department empowers those same individuals by providing intensive, life affirming, and respectful services.
Care coordination is a complex service that helps clients navigate a multitude of services which provide clients the opportunity to thrive and increase their physical, emotional and psychological health. ACR’s Department of Support Services has grown exponentially from just providing care coordination with the addition of Community Health Advocates Program, Supportive Housing Services and Nutrition Services for those living with HIV/AIDS.  This compliments and enhances ACR’s already superior programming, which includes: Ryan White and Health Home Care Coordination, STAR Transportation and Housing Opportunities for People With AIDS (HOPWA). It is a great honor for me to lead this multi-talented, professional staff in providing the best services possible for our clients and the community.
