Join us at the AIDS Hike for Life Kick-Off events!

Come join us on March 6 at one of our AIDS Hike for Life Kickoff Events:

Join us for an opportunity to sign up your team, receive your team kit and materials, learn how to create an online fundraising page, and receive tips on how to make the $500 Club. Have all your questions answered by knowledgeable staff and volunteers.

Why Form A Team?

Who wants to walk alone? Walking as a team is fun and a morale builder for all types of companies, schools and organizations. It's a time for enjoyment outside the work or school environment, and it's a great reason for friends and family groups to get together!

Walking is also a great way to show support for a loved one fighting AIDS and a tribute to those who have been lost. Raising funds for those affected by HIV/AIDS is extremely important and easy to do as a group. You will motivate and challenge each other (or other teams) into a fundraising frenzy! Decide on a team theme and compete to win the Most Creative Team Award!

How can you form an AIDS Hike for Life Team?

The first step to forming an AIDS Walk team is to designate a Team Captain who will work directly with the Team Coordinator in AIDS Walk Headquarters.

Once your team is registered, you will receive a team kit in the mail.

Because we know how much work you put into getting a team together, we have special incentives for team captains. Don't forget, if your team raises $1,000 or more, you will join the $500 Club.

Special Team Awards

At the AIDS Hike for Life there are special awards just for teams:

  • Top Fundraising Team - last year the top team was Romeo & Juliet's who raised $5,000.00!
  • Most Creative Team - pick a theme and get creative. Pique the interest of the panel of judges to win this award!
  • Team with the Most Members - The 2007 AIDS Hike for Life saw one team with over 20 people! Try to beat it!
  • Other awards go to Top Fundraising Hamilton College Team, Top Fundraising Teen AIDS Task Force Team, and more!

We want everyone to win! And don't forget that all money is used locally to help support the Adolescent Prevention Programs and Client Support Services Programs of AIDS Community Resources.
