10th Annual AIDS Hike for Life
Sunday, April 27
Registration 10 AM, Start Time 11 AM
Hamilton College Campus

Currently in Upstate New York more than 32,247 people have been diagnosed with AIDS. Many do not have the resources they need to survive. AIDS Hike for Life is a 5K walk or a 5K run committed to raising funds that provide direct care to families and individuals living with AIDS, and help support ACR's Adolescent Prevention Programs in area middle and high schools. ACR wants to make sure that people living with HIV/AIDS have the basic things they need (like food, shelter, clothing, medical care and education) to enable them to live out their lives with dignity.

AIDS Hike for Life has raised more than $317,000 in the past 9 years. It has become the most significant fundraiser for AIDS in Oneida, Herkimer, Lewis, and Madison Counties. The money raised to date has helped ensure the basic needs of people living with HIV/AIDS will be provided.

AIDS Community Resources will hold the 10th Annual AIDS Hike for Life on Sunday, April 27, 2008 with a fundraising goal of $75,000. We expect in excess of 600 walkers, runners, and supporters for a fun-filled event.

On April 27th you'll be joining hundreds of other walkers and runners who have come together on the beautiful campus of Hamilton College to demonstrate the power that one person has in the fight against AIDS. Whether you're proudly wearing a tribute badge in honor of someone, or simply adding your voice to the fight, take time to enjoy the wonderful food, lively music, and festive atmosphere of the biggest AIDS event in the Mohawk Valley.

After you've completed the AIDS Hike for Life 5K walk or 5K run, stay for the Awards Ceremony as we congratulate the individuals and teams whose fundraising efforts will help give needed financial support to the Adolescent Prevention Programs and Client Support Services programs of AIDS Community Resources.
