VOLUNTEER POSITIONS
The AIDS Hike for Life would not exist without volunteers. Over 100 positions are available at the event on Sunday, May 1st, and many more pre-event opportunities exist that help get the word out. We have something for everyone, even groups. Please see some of our volunteer opportunities below and then click here to let us know how you would like to help!
We encourage everyone who participates in the AIDS Hike for Life to raise a minimum of $25 for the fight against HIV/AIDS, and we encourage our volunteers to do the same. Fundraising is certainly not a requirement, but we hope you give it a try – every little bit helps. If you have questions about online fundraising or need assistance, please do not hesitate to email or call (800) 475-2430.

VOLUNTEER AT THE AIDS HIKE FOR LIFE!
All activities take place on Sunday, May 1 unless otherwise noted. Times vary according to position.
REGISTRATION
9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Be the first face participants see at the AIDS Hike for Life! Registration Volunteers check in walkers and runners and collect the funds they have raised. You must be friendly, outgoing and detail-oriented. There are also opportunities for these volunteers to work at our pre-event collection tables on Thursday, April 28 and Saturday April 30.
HOSPITALITY CREW
9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Work under the Tent as a part of our Hospitality Crew. Help distribute food and beverages to our participants before, during, and after the main event. Hospitality Crew volunteers should be friendly and outgoing.
OBEY ME COURSE MARSHALS
9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Course Marshals get a front-row seat to the event, so they're also able to cheer the walkers on and see all of the participants as they go by! Marshals direct the flow of the participant traffic, and help keep walkers and runners safe and on course. They must be outgoing, energetic and good communicators in order to guide the participants.
WATER TABLE
9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Our Water Table Volunteers help set up, manage and clean up our water tables along the route. Distribute beverages to our dedicated walkers/runners! All ages are welcome! This volunteer position is great for families and groups.
COURSE CREW
Saturday, April 30, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Sunday, May 1, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Help us set up the course before the walk/run starts and break down the course once participants have completed the AIDS Hike for Life. Course Crew members must be comfortable with physical activity and lifting. Be prepared to get a little dirty!
FIRED UP CREW
11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
NO ORIENTATION
Be the first to welcome back the walkers/runners! Help us celebrate at the finish line by cheering as the runners and walkers return from the route. Then stick around to help us make sure Hamilton College Campus is spotlessly beautiful.

SATURDAY SET-UP
Saturday, April 30 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
We need a lot of help on Saturday preparing for the big event! Come help us get the Tent and Course ready! This volunteer position is great for those who prefer to walk on Sunday, May 1.
PHOTOGRAPHY
9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
AIDS Hike for Life is currently looking for photographers to help capture the moments that make the AIDS Hike for Life special! Photography Volunteers are asked to supply their own equipment on the day of the event. This volunteer position is great for individuals or groups who are currently studying photography or want to use their photographic talents at the AIDS Hike for Life!
CLEAN UP CREW
12 p.m. - 2 p.m.
Do you want to walk and volunteer at AIDS Hike for Life? Join our Clean Up Crew! Help us to clean up and break down after you cross the finish line. This volunteer position is great for groups!
