AIDS Community Resources (ACR), a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization, was founded in 1983. Its mission is three-fold: to prevent the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases; to provide support services to those who are living with HIV/AIDS; and to promote sexual literacy and improved medical outcomes.

Where the Money Goes:
Teen AIDS Task Force (TATF): This teen-centered peer leadership program focuses on topics such as self-esteem, healthy relationships, drug and alcohol prevention, healthy nutrition, and promotion of sexual health and safety. Funds raised will also support our DIVAS (Discovering Important and Valuable information About Self) program, an after-school program targeting at-risk African-American and Hispanic adolescents. These programs reach more than 6500 youths per year.

A youth social network and support group for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered and Questioning youth, their families and friends in Utica.

Emergency-Basic-Human Needs:
An ongoing stabilization initiative that provides HIV-infected individuals and their families with food, personal care items, household items, and clothing during critical times.
